1971 One Sided US acetate on Audiodisc
What can I say about this incredibly rare item? How many Curtis acetates can there be circulating in the universe? This is beautiful...a one sided American Audiodisc acetate of the album version (yes, all 8mins 50seconds) of one of the most important soul records ever made. If I knew Paul Weller, I'd be making a private sale! I've played it once and barely a crackle. It has the odd superficial mark and smells divine. It has a custom Audiodisc label with Audio Devices Inc. Glenbrook, CT. USA printed on the bottom of the label. 'Move On Up' 'Curtis Mayfield' is written by hand. Housed in a Trident Studio orange cover.
OVERALL I would grade this item as near mint.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Plus(+) or Minus(-) may be used from time to time to try to give the buyer a closer idea of the quality of record on offer.
