UK 1970 original 1st pressing on conventional black vinyl

gorgeous vocals by Sonja Kristina with the hypnotic electric violin of Darryl Way as well as Francis Monkman's evocative work on guitar, organ, piano, Mellotron and VCS3

the superb debut LP by Curved Air was blighted by its initial issue as a picture disc - this seemed like a nice idea at the time, and in those days was still something of a novelty, but the record suffered from excessive surface noise

far preferable, therefore, is this 1st UK pressing on thick, heavy, black vinyl

stunning sound - great quality pressing

highly appealing fully laminated sleeve

quite hard to find now, even in average condition - this beautiful album is, to me, the best the band ever made

HERE IS A VERY NEAR MINT EXAMPLE

super high gloss surfaces - this original 1st pressing record is 35 years old but in almost as new condition

original plain white poly-lined inner sleeve

 

labels mint

except for very moderate light spindle traces - mostly to side two

the original olive green Warner Bros labels are sharp, clear, clean and bright

 

cover very near mint

printed in England by West Brothers Printers Ltd, London, SW19

super glossy, fully laminated (front and back) cover with dazzling as new shine (see photos) - razor-sharp opening edges and corners - perfect tight seams with no shelf wear - great flat spine with all lettering clear, bright and sharp - there is no circular wear or impression of the record to the front or back cover - no writing, tears, scuffs, stickers, stains or any other defacement

still smells brand new - an amazingly fine example
