MATRIX A2 B2 Run Out groove has an endless repeat on side 1
Fine progressive third album outing from Curved Air featuring the vocal gymnastics of Sonja Kristina and the violin work of Daryll Way
Side two track 2 features Sonja’s vocals processed through an EMS Synthi Synthesizer which was pretty experimental at the time and
was probably a nightmare to record. it sounds something like Gollum having Tea with the Clanger’s soup dragon.
Phantasmagoria is often viewed as an album of two Sides -with Considerable praise reserved for side one -
while Side Two causes puzzlement and may be a step too far even for a 70s progressive rock audience who were generally astonishingly open minded .
