Melbourne's Cut Copy return with their seventh album, a record that distils two decades of electronic exploration into something widescreen and intimate. Opener 'Solid' sets the tone with shimmering synth layers and an emotional pull that's already made it a standout single. From there the album pivots between immediacy and atmosphere: 'Belong to You', featuring Kate Bollinger, drapes Balearic groove around wistful vocals; 'Children of Fairlight' nods to vintage sampling culture with a warm, textural glow; while the title track stretches to nearly eight minutes, rising and falling with hypnotic patience. Later, 'Gravity' takes the energy higher, its rolling pulse made for late-night floors, before closer 'Find a Place Among the Stars' leaves things on a celestial note. Expansive yet finely tuned, it's a reminder of Cut Copy's ability to fuse dancefloor drive with emotional resonance.
