Jennifer Warnes has long been one of the favorite female singers for audiophiles. She has a great voice and always provides great interpretations. Her versions of Leonard Cohen's "Famous Blue Raincoat" are without peer. This LP has a number of excellent quality cuts.
Best known for such pop hits as the Oscar- and Grammy-winning duets "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" with Bill Medley, from the film Dirty Dancing, and "Up Where We Belong" with Joe Cocker, from the film An Officer and a Gentleman, Jennifer Warnes has earned her greatest acclaim for Famous Blue Raincoat, considered by many to be one of the best albums of the '80s.

CONDITION Details:
The JACKET is in NEAR MINT minus condition. The jacket is completely intact, with no seam splits. The jacket shows light shelf wear, just a tiny bit at the seams and corners. There is a slight bend at the front, right, top corner of the jacket (no creasing). The jacket does NOT have any drill holes or saw marks of any kind and has NO writing, front or back. See picture with this listing for more detail.
The LP is in Near Mint minus condition! The vinyl has no serious marks of any kind, only some very light superficial spider marks - these are caused by sliding the LP in and out of the record sleeve. No spindle marks. The record retains much of it's original gloss and sheen. It is a lovely slab of super rare vinyl - in remarkable condition given it's age. When play graded on our audio system, the record performed exceptionally well, with only some rare, light noise that did not detract from the performance in any way.A Short Note About LP GRADING -
- Mint = Only used for sealed items.
- Near Mint = Virtually flawless in every way.
- Near Mint Minus = Item has some minor imperfections, some audible.
- Excellent = Item obviously played and enjoyed with some noise.
- Very Good Plus = Many more imperfections which are noticeable and obtrusive.
Please understand that this is a very old record - as such, one cannot expect the record to sound like a brand new, audiophile pressing! Some noise is inevitable - for best results, always properly clean your LPs before playing them.
The LP is an audiophile quality pressing (any collector of fine MFSL, half speeds, direct to discs, Japanese/UK pressings etc., can attest to the difference a quality pressing can make to an audio system).
