CYRIL DAVIES and his Rhythm & Blues All Stars.
The 'memorial EP' to the true originator of British Rhythm and Blues.
RECORD ONE is the original issue complete with it's correct picture sleeve, the sleeve is Fair, (see picture), I have written my name on the bottom left corner of the back of the sleeve, (see picture), there are crease marks on the sleeve from the record, but it is 50 years old.
The record is fair on the 'condition list' below, it plays but has surface noise, lets call it POOR so we have no misunderstanding. You are buying it to have a very early first issue, not for the quality of the sound.
RECORD TWO is a later issue EP containing the same tracks which can be used a the copy to listen to. I bought it described as excellent but prefer to describle as VERY GOOD, the record sleeve is plain standard example.

My wife recently came out with the comment of “as you never play your records now you might as well put them on Ebay”. In retrospect this is a fair comment, since the arrival of cassettes in 1964 I have used my records as a library to make compilation tapes and later CDs. I do collect music and in recent years this is now stored on computer so the records, going back to 1956, are now surplus to requirement and are on Ebay to be sold.
Condition. From other advertisements I have seen the 'standard' for describing records and I have used The Record Collector Magazine’s GRADING GUIDE which is copied below, based on that, the condition is MY OPINION of their condition which may NOT match yours. They have been play to remind me of the condition. You can inspect BEFORE bidding if you wish. This is a sale of a personal collection.
The condition is POOR on number 1 and VERY GOOD on number 2, cover and sleeve in FAIR used condition with marks from general handling, storage and age but no rips.

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:
"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler."
