Up for your consideration is this hard to find deluxe boxed set of "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland" by Cyril Richard and the New York Woodwind Quintet. This was produced in 1957 on Riverside Records as SDP 22. The set consists of 4 LP records and a facsimile volume of the 1865 first edition of the book. This classic children's tale (for all ages) tells of Alice's pursuit of the white rabbit. A truly wonderful Lewis Carroll tale presented both in print and on four LP records. Cyril Richard was a renouned actor/entertainer of the period. I also have the companion set "Through The Looking Glass" listed, and would be very happy to combine shipping.
The records are visually graded a strong VG+, with little more than a whisper of a paper scuff here and there. Probably played once or twice. The labels are clean with no spindle marks. The inner sleeves are generic and thought to be original. The book is tight with no marks. It's hardbound with a cloth cover and contains 192 pages. Appears never to have been read. Includes the 42 original illustrations by John Tenniel. The box has tight corners, and aside from a couple of light dings, is like new. I tend to grade conservatively. You won't be disappointed.
