Description

Cafe Bizarre- Assorted Madness- The Holy Grail of Beatnik Poetry- Vinyl LP Record.

If you have clicked into this listing you know how rare this record is. You will have a hard time trying to find it anywhere as it is perhaps one of the most obscure Beatnik Poetry records ever made.

Cafe Bizarre was the hotbed back in the day and was key to the culture of New York City (and the rest of the country) in the 1950's and 60's. (Andy Warhol discovered The Velvet Underground at Cafe Bizarre). Everyone of any importance performed there; including some of the most radical poets of the day. This album contains some of those artists.

Condition:

Cover- As you can see from the photos; the sleeve has a 6" top seam split, and a 12" spine split. The cover has some overall light ringwear and an almost perfect and in-tact bottom seam. There is a small sticker on the left top front cover (see photo). The cover is overall better than VG.

Vinyl- The vinyl has numerous light surface marks but plays awesome with some background noise at times. Track 1, side 1, skips throughout (and is the only song on the record which is affected by a scratch on the vinyl). The rest of the record plays incredible; loud, crisp, and clear, and free of any skipping. Overall the vinyl is VG.

Thank you for looking and good luck to the winner!
