Joseph et Cleoma Falcon--Decca 17000
Original pre-war Cajun 78 rpm record, Decca 17000, Joseph Falcon, La Valse de Madame Sosten b/w Cleoma Falcon, Mes Yeux Bleus. Recorded 20 December 1934. First in Decca's 17000 series devoted to Cajun artists. A side was a classic Cajun French waltz, B side was a Cajun French version of "My Blue Eyes" which was made famous by the Carter Family.
Record has been heavily played as is typical of most Cajun 78s from this period. Playing surface is dull, with numerous scuffs and scratches from use, and quite a bit of label wear as well, but no chips, cracks or other damage. Has more than average background noise corresponding with the surface wear, but still plays well. Despite the wear, still a nice pre-war recording by the original First Couple of Cajun Music and is in VG- condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
