Cajun country LOUISIANA STROLLERS Unexplained Blues 1930s Decca 5298 pre-war 78 Shipping Info Description Vintage Cajun country swing blues 78: LOUISIANA STROLLERS – I’m Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover (Woods-Dixon) b/w The Unexplained Blues – Decca Records 5298 (60819/60820), blue label with shaded logo; circa the 1930’s – I’ve seen it dated as 1936 but not positive; both songs are “instrumental with vocal chorus”; no songwriting credit for the b-side track, which you can hear on youtube – a great song! Classic repeated-phrase country blues lament; would have been a direct influence Hank Williams – it almost sounds like a cover of one of his songs, but he didn’t start recording until 1946-7. A very scarce pre-war record.
Condition: VG+ (minor to moderate scuffing, several short minimal scratches; some rubbing to labels).
