Campoli (1958) Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D Major for Violin & Orchestra Op.35 Argenta DECCA SXL 2029 UK Pressing
Jacket is glossy. Cover and back show some notable ringwear, as well as some damage to the laminate edges. Theres some light hazing on the cover. There’s a 1/4” tear along the open edge of the jacket on the front. There’s a 1/2” tear along the same edge on the back (SEE DETAIL PHOTOS) No splits. The back of the jacket has a name stamped in ink at the top. There’s a price sticker on the back presumably from the shop it was originally purchased at. Finally, there’s two tears at the top-back on the fold over (SEE DETAIL PHOTO)
The record itself is in very nice shape. Very, very clean. No notable scratches, marks or visible defects. A tiny bit of very light superficial hazing here and there (SEE DETAIL PHOTOS) The vinyl looks mostly unplayed. The grooves are in excellent shape.
Record also plays great. Light, common vinyl surface noise. A quiet pop here and there. No significant crackles, no skips. I’ve played it all the way through on both sides on my Technics 1200 and Ortofon cartridge. Plays very clean. It’s been well taken care of and likely rarely played.
The dead wax numbers are:
ZAL-3475-2E (side A)
ZAL-3476-1E (side B)
Includes original Decca poly lined inner sleeve. It shows some common wear, but no splits.
