Description
Original UK Liberty black label stereo 1st press LP.
The fifth LP by Canned Heat issued in August 1970 and recorded during January 1970, after the band had performed at Woodstock. Harvey Mandel handled lead guitar after Vestine had left and Dr John played Piano on London Blues. The hit single 'Let's Work Together' was a cover of Wilbert Harrison's song already in the US RnB charts and became their best selling single, with Bob Hite on vocals. This is the original issue with the very early A-2G/B-2G matrices and matching 1-G 1-G stampers!
The E. J. Day Group front laminated gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner wear, some laminate rubbing and a couple of laminate creases on the rear cover. The spine is intact, slightly crushed and fully readable, the plain company inner is intact, but written on & in VG+ condition.
The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only one or two small scuffs on the rim and a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of only one or two very faint spindle markings on each side! The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves and overall a really great, loud & lively listen!The matrix nos. are; LBS-83364 A-2G stamper 1-G, B-2G stamper 1-G. This is one of the very early copies of the first pressing of the original UK stereo issue of this classic 1970 album!
All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
Will post to Europe (including all EU countries & non EU countries, including Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, etc.), the Rest of the World (Zones 1 & 2, including Canada, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Korea, China, South Africa, etc.) and even the USA, but airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to the 2kg weight restrictions.
