This is the original 1971 UK Liberty black label issue with the very earliest A-1G B-1G matrices and matching 1-G stampers of the first few hundred copies pressed!!

The seventh album by Canned Heat was issued in January 1971 and recorded during May 1970. The follow up to 'Future Blues' was recorded at Liberty Studios in Los Angeles. This was a collaboration between John Lee Hooker and the band, with him playing solo on sides 1 & 2 with Alan Wilson helping out and playing with all the band on sides 3 & 4, with singer Bob Hite acting as producer. The album didn't make much an impact at the time, but over the years has become recognised as one of the great blues/rock collaboration albums of the decade.

The E.J. Day Group matt textured gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some corner/edge wear and some storage rubbing on the outer cover. There is also some light rubbing on the inner cover. The spine is intact, slightly worn and fully readable, the plain company inners are intact and in VG+ condition.

The record is in visually EX condition, with only one or two small needle scuffs and a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a one or two faint spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves.
Overall, just a really good, loud & lively listen.   The matrix nos. are; LSP-103, A-1G stamper 1-G, B-1G stamper 1-G, LSP-104 A-1G stamper 1-G, B-1G stamper 1-G. This is one of the very earliest copies of the first pressing of the original UK stereo issue of this classic 1971 album!
