Description

An original 1st STEREO press of LTBs on UK Liberty from late 1968. The labels are consistent with a UK 1st press. Matrix A1/B1 C1/D1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold printed by MacNeill [Stereo]. Also included are both plastic bag warning inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - there are a couple which do sound [see detail]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations per disc. Intros and inbetweens are superbly quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. It is totalled clean signalled - highly impressive given the vintage and the type of audio. Superb acoustics - very revealing into the quietest percussive moments. I did manage to pick out the following deviations. Right at the end of the aboriginal twanging on side 2 [Parthenogen]. There's a mark which cause 5-6 ticks as the twanging closes out [no big deal at all]. There's, also, 5-6 clicks two thirds of the way through REFRIED BOOGIE PRT1. In addition, I detected a couple of isolated ticks in 'MISTAKE' & 'SANDYS'. Other than that expect nothing more than a few crackles in one isolated spot per side. When on song, which is 95% of the time.. It's totally bangin'.
Cover (Vg+) Not quite up to the standard of the vinyl - but more than respectable. Relatively unworn front and rear - just light handling. Please note slight bump to the opening close to the blue Liberty logo [no big issue]. The interior looks real good with just light sign of ageing - and a touch of handling. The spine is pretty much fully intact - all text fully legible. Expect a bit of wear along the bottom edges - but nothing epic or unsightly. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidty.
Inners (Vg) A bit aged. Bags are present. No splits.
