Cannibal Corpse – Eaten Back To Life
The debut album from American Death Metal Legends Cannibal Corpse on First Edition 1990 Vinyl LP release from Metal Blade Records.Recorded at what is considered by many as the Death Metal recording studio - Morrisound Recording in Tampa Florida by Scott Burns - hot off production duties with Sepultura, Obituary, Cynic, Exhorder, Napalm Death and Death prior to this first recording with Cannibal Corpse. Soon after recording the album the band relocated from their native Buffalo NY to Florida.
This album would raise the bar for both Death Metal and the Extreme Metal in general with it's shocking/uncompromising lyrical content and unrelenting heaviness, ushering in an era of Death Metal dominance in the early 1990 Metal scene.
This first pressing is the definitive collectors edition of this sincere & seminal Death Metal classic, own the record the birthed a gore legend.
Eaten Back To Live represents the debut of the "mark 1" Cannibal Corpse line-up (including vocalist Chris Barnes & guitarist Bob Rusay) that would only record 3 albums together, but is often regarded at the definitive Cannibal Corpse line-up.
Also featured on the album are backing vocals from Deicide's Glen Benton and Incubus' Francis H. Howard on the tracks "Mangled" & "A Skull Full of Maggots".
The record itself is in excellent condition, there is some wear on the sleeve and paper insert as to be expected for a 32 year old record - see pictures for details.
