Description

Original 1958 first pressing of Somethin’ Else by Cannonball Adderley on Blue Note BLP 1595 (Mono).

True first issue with 47 West 63rd St., New York 23 address on labels and back cover, deep groove both sides, RVG hand-etched, and Plastylite “ear” symbol in the dead wax — all clearly present.

Mastered by Rudy Van Gelder and pressed at Plastylite for Blue Note’s golden era.

Features Miles Davis, Hank Jones, Sam Jones, and Art Blakey — one of the most iconic sessions in the Blue Note catalog.

Highly sought after by collectors for its original sound quality, historical significance, and unmatched personnel lineup.

Verification: All confirmed identifiers of an original 1958 Blue Note first pressing are visible, including RVG etching and Plastylite “ear” in the runout.

Condition: VG+ visually. Only a few faint superficial lines, no deep scratches. Light film or smudging visible under angled light — likely residue from an older cleaning solution. Record has not been cleaned by seller to preserve buyer’s preferred method. Labels are clean with no spindle wear.

Jacket: VG+ with light shelf and corner wear, strong spine, and fully legible text. No splits or writing. Original 47 West 63rd St. back cover present.

Record will be shipped outside of jacket (same package) to protect the cover from splitting.
