Victor's first discs recorded within Chinese territory were in Shanghai in the first half of 1905 (fig.f). Their labels appeared in a 7324- 8299 series and show different colors such as orange, green, silver, and later light blue, etc. "The Zon-o-phone Record", a book by Ernie Bayly and Michael Kinnear, mentions that Universal Talking Machine Manufacturing Co. made some Chinese records in late 1903 and early 1904 for issue as Zon-o-phone records. These Chinese records were never released by Zonophone, but the matrix numbers used on Victor Chinese records in the 7324 - 8299 are from those Zonophone recording sessions.

Due to lack of quality control for shipping in China, i will not ship to asia unless considerable additional cost for shipping- the package will be tripled in size to protect it from terrible handling experiences found in China.
i have never had a record broken in mail in USA.
I will cancel the sale unless the additional weight is accepted. The weight of package will be increased to 3 pounds to accommodate the brutal handling, and fragility of the records.

I will cancel the sale unless buyer accepts that insurance. I have had TERRIBLE experience with shipping to China, so this is a requirement for any sales to Asia.
