Capitol ST-2047 LP record
I recently had it returned from a collector who wanted an 'archive quality' copy. I have taken it to a friend who knows about these things. It has been cleaned and examined: This is what we know and stand behind. The wrap has been slit open and there is a red D sticker on top of the cellophane. There is a small number 9 to the right of the RIAA logo on the cover. There are very minor corner bumps on the cover, no splits or writing or anything major. The LP itself is in good condition. There are two light surface scratches across the grooves on side two - they do not pop click or skip when the record is played. It sounds great. They are also impossible to photograph! The label on side one has some light fingerprint shaped darker areas. This is from someone balancing the record using the edge with a finger or two on the label (so I'm told) this is not evident on side 2. There are no spindle area scratches and no writing or other issues with the labels. The paper sleeve is an original Capital sleeve, but from a later date than the original release, so if it's original to this record this must be a later released version. That number 9 on the back cover is the key for collectors, again, so I'm told. So I'm not selling perfect archive quality, but a very nice playable copy.
