Description
Cap'n Jazz - Shmap'n Smazz / Burritos, Inspiration Point, Fork Balloon Sports, Cards In The Spokes, Automatic Biographies, Kites, Kung Fu, Trophies, Banana Peels We've Slipped On and Egg Shells We've Tippy Toed Over
This is an original, way way out of print, copy of the one and only Cap'n Jazz Full Length LP. The sleeve and Vinyl are BOTH in Near Mint condition. No corner crease, no scrathes to be found. It's about as perfect a copy you could hope to find of this thing. The original double sided Inner Sleeve is still there, in perfect condition.
Here's some information from Wikipedia:
""Cap'n Jazz were a seminal underground Chicago band in the early/mid 1990s who have influenced a huge number of bands since their demise. Their first 7" record, 'Boys 16-18 Years ... Age of Action' was released on Basil Shadid'sFurther Beyond Records in 1993. Cap'n Jazz broke up in July 1995 in Little Rock, Arkansas; they were scheduled to play that night at DIY punk venue Das Yutes a Go-Go.
The line up of the band included Tim Kinsella (vocals); Samuel Zurick (bass guitar); Mike Kinsella (drums, vocals); Victor Villareal (guitar, vocals); and Davey von Bohlen (guitar, vocals from 1994-95).
Although their talent and influence stands on its own, they are also notable for the significant careers that former members of the band have charted since the demise of Cap'n Jazz in 1995, most notably Make Believe, The Promise Ring, American Football, Owls, Ghosts and Vodka, Joan of Arc and Owen.
Burritos, Inspiration Point, Fork Balloon Sports, Cards In The Spokes, Automatic Biographies, Kites, Kung Fu, Trophies, Banana Peels We've Slipped On and Egg Shells We've Tippy Toed Over is Cap'n Jazz's first and only full-length album, released in 1995 on Man With Gun Records. It is also referred to as the Schmap'n Schmazz LP. It is out of print.
Track listing "Little League" "Oh Messy Life" "Puddle Splashers" "Flashpoint: Catheter" "In The Clear" "Yes, I'm Talking to You" "Basil's Kite" "Bluegrassish" "Planet Shhh..." "The Sands Have Turned Purple" "Precious" "¡Qué suerte!"
