The single fold wraparound sleeve is a self-color blue photocopy sheet.
Four numbers from a gig in 1966 that was broadcasted live via radio station KSAN from the Avalon Ballroom, San Francisco. (These can also be found officially on Grow Fins Vol 1 or the CD set. Other tracks from the session may also be in circulation, such as "Blues Jam" on the "Railroadism" CD).
The front is credited "Capt. Beefheart Avalon 66", but the image is of Vliet during the later "Clear Spot" period, complete with 'Coolie' hat.
The back states this is an EP. The band is credited as Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band, which is the truest written form and identity for the band in this period. Alexis Clair Snouffer, aka Alex St. Clair, was also the instigator & leader of the band in '66. Thus, there is some further confusion in the text below the band photo - which is cut from a review (relating to the later A&M release "Diddy Wah Diddy") in 'The Beat', a 'pop' news mag of the time - which says "Captain Beefheart is Alex St. Clair...". Furthermore, the band members interviewed are not entirely as in the photo;

Correct credits for the tracks can be found on the aforesaid "Grow Fins".
The vinyl is translucent blue, with blue print on white labels. The label drawing is of Beefheart under a Joshua tree playing a mouth harp, complete with shuttlecock hat and a crow perched on his boot - suggesting this release is at least post 1970 (TMR), or even post '82 (ICFC).
The band credited on the label, "The Soots", were of the given '60s period and relate to Vliet & Zappa, but have no bearing on these works - other than perhaps a sales gimmick. (The Soots can be found on Zappa works).

Hard To Find In This 1980's US Blue Vintage Vinyl Edition !!!
Vinyl Is In Very Good Plus Plus To (Mostly) Near Mint Condition. (there is some very, very minor age related wear - there are some very, very minor rubbing scuffing marks on the vinyl, this is probably from decades living in a really cheap paper sleeve)

So, if my turn around time takes a lot longer then most sellers,
(I have a 30 day shipping window) I really do apologize in advance.
I know it is a (potentially) long delivery window,
and you may want to consider this before bidding.
Also, I always ship items in proper shipping packaging, with padding
or packing peanuts or cardboard bracing as needed. I use whatever is
required in order to try and get it safely through the worldwide mail
systems. As a result, there is a small (cost) fee for the packaging materials
that I get from Box City, in order to safely ship the items.
Also, please understand this in advance, I use the e-bay calculator to
figure out postage. Sometimes, it is wrong, and presents a cost that is
higher then the actual cost at the post office. If and when this is the case,
I always refund the difference.
Please Note: Overseas Packages that go through the Customs system,
can take up to 4 to 6 weeks to Process and Deliver, This IS Normal.
For Russia and the Middle East, this can take even longer and is
completely out of my control, so please be patient.
