Captain Beefheart Click / Glider Promo Only 7" Two Tone Picture Sleeve NM.
Rare Reprise promotional single for the Captain Beefheart album "The Spotlight Kid", with a two toned photo picture sleeve in excellent condition. As I remember this was part of a five single set, promo only, promoting new issues from the label, each with photo picture sleeves in this style. Don Van Vliet gets pride of place as the first, note the label.
That color choice carried over to a prototype alternate cover of his next album "Clear Spot", which I used to own. But they altered it to the striking black and white cover eventually issued.
The sleeve, which is paper not cardboard, has very slight wear - unusual for a solid colored paper sleeve, which shows wear easily. The disk is pristine, no wear.
From the collection of the author of the Goldmine and Forced Exposure articles (and nearly a bio for Conde Nast, my own theatrical work prevented that from happening) and the co-host of the annual CB birthday celebrations for WNYC's "Plastic Tales From the Marshmallow Dimension" - Covid having wiped out my savings.
