Up for sale today are two choice Vinyl's from my collection. Safe As Milk - US. Buddha Records BDS 5001, . Matrix BDS 5001 A & B. Released 1967. I have tried to work out exactly which press this is using the U.S. Goldmine Record Album which indicates this is a first press. However checking on Discogs I notice that the first press has production and engineer and design and photography credits on reverse sleeve which the album I am selling does not and it does not come with the inner sleeve and stickers (although these may have been lost), therefore it must be at least a 2nd pressing but with the same catalogue number but most likely still 1967. This is definitely a U.S. release but the cover is a laminate which is pretty unusual for an American album as I understood that laminates were only generally made in the UK. The Cover is of the American stiff card type, fold over flip back but with a definite laminate sheen. Cover has a tiny rip at the top and some signs of wear around the side opening but is in overall clean shiny lovely condition and graded as Very Good. The Vinyl is definitely of the period from the late 60s when it was still heavy, before the reissues of the early 70s which were much thinner and lighter. Vinyl is also graded as Very Good. Clear Spot - UK Reprise Records K 54007. Matrix A1 B1. Released 1972. This release is almost always destined to be damaged due to its clever but flimsy packaging. Instead of a outer sleeve there is a stiff white card which is bent and shows signs of discolouring. The record and card are housed in a plastic wallet which is damaged and ripped and is therefore graded as in fair condition. The Vinyl is of the early 70s thin variety and in very good condition. Both vinyl's still play beautifully on my Thorens turntable with just slight crackling in places. Not much sign of spindle wear on either record. I have tried to be totally honest in my description but please judge for yourself by studying the scans. I will offer returns but you have to post them back to me by 2nd class signed for which is how I am posting them out. I will send them carefully packaged in record mailer envelope with stiff card protectors. Please pay me promptly. Overseas buyers welcome - I can send to the EBay Shipping Centre.
