Captain Beefheart "Safe As Milk" German Issue "Gold Rock" Concert Photo LP NM.
What I believe was the first issue of Captain Beefheart's seminal first LP "Safe As Milk" in Germany as "Gold Rock", on the Buddah / Gema label, using a closeup photograph of Don Van Vliet from the German TV music show "Beat Club", for which the band did a half hour (when edited) concert issued on DVD some time ago - Don's look was so distinctive it's very identifiable. Which suggests that after "Trout" and other CB albums had had impact, Germany got around to issuing this. Stereo.
Very slight wear to the sleeve (European sleeves were of heavy paper, not cardboard as in the US so a bit more fragile) and none to the disk. Germany had high legal standards for record pressing at the time so that the LPS and their sound was superior to the US, and only Japan had higher standards.
Rarely offered. From the author of the Goldmine cover story on Don (and many others and radio shows). Covid ate my savings.
