An original mono 1st press of the debut on the Verve label. Matrix A1/B1. Stampers 1G/1G - the very 1st stamper to be used. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original mono Garrod & Lofthouse cover with flipbacks.
Vinyl (Vg+/Vg) In great condition despite having seen a moderate level of use. Please note this copy does have a significant mark/scuff over the last two tracks on side 1 which affects the audio [see detail below]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback - but with deviation in those two tracks. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with very good clarity. Interference, for the most-part is relatively minor. We're talking about a few crackles in a few spots - but not the invasive kind, or persistent. The only noticeable issue is that mark mentioned above. It causes a bit of crackle periodically in those two tracks, and often a tick per revolution, and a couple of pops at worst. It is guaranteed to play through this scuff [tested on two separate decks] and, in reality, does not affect the audio as much as I'd feared. Remember, this Lp is offered at this lower price because of the defects. 
Cover (G+) On the face of it it doesn't look too bad, but there is one significant issue on the front. Somehow some bright spark has managed to cut through that front cover at the level of the two highest heads. It's a clean cut - so don't expect anything like a fold or crease. It has been successfully taped up and the cover doesn't suffer too much cosmetically as a result of this. The rear is in nice condition and only exhibits some handling marks. Flipbacks are all intact. The spine is Ok and the text is mostly legible. Despite the cut-through on the front the cover, overall, still retains very good rigidity.
