In the last few years I have only come across a few copies of this great Caravan album. NO skips or jumps. NO clicks, NO crackle just a little static noise at times, this is really a stunning heavy vinyl with a beautiful deep gloss.
I have played this in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more in-depth observation. I am very glad to say that there are not any jumps or skips. Fantastic audio with great channel separation. Great songcraft and a strange thing really that Caravan did not break into the big league like Genesis and Yes. I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing B&W three way speakers!!!
Vinyl: EX++. A couple of the finest "wispy" tiny hairlines only visible under a very strong light. A nice respectable record that will sit well in all but most demanding of collections. Of course , NO jumps, NO sticks, sometimes a little static which will improve after every spin. Absolutely stunning songcraft and for many fans the best of the classic first 4 albums, this sounds absolutely epic with great channel separation as you cannot hear it on CD. This is vastly superior!!
Sleeve: EX+. Front laminated single (later re-issues have a matt glazed appearance) sleeve that is hard to fault. Printed by Robert stace. Only miniscule spine "mini" creases of a few mm's. Every laminated sleeve has this from the beginning. Sharp edges, a beautiful spine and opening are deadstraight. NO smudges NO writing.
This comes with the original blue printed polylined inner sleeve which has the wavy top opening (only the very first had this!!).
This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible!!!
