Description
In the 1990's I went to a Carl Perkins concert at a San Francisco nightclub. In between sets, I visited with Carl in his dressing room, and he was nice enough to autograph several of my Sun records (singles). As Wynonna Judd once commented, Carl Perkins was one of the nicest people in the music business! She was right.
By the way, in 1960 (at age 14) I was lucky enough to get into Johnny Cash's dressing room! That has nothing to do with this auction, but I wanted to mention it.
This record is the older, heavier plastic, not the lighter, thinner plastic that was used for later releases. During my life I've owned about 100 Sun singles, and I always preferred copies made from the older, heavier plastic.
I will mail this record with 4 slabs of thick cardboard. I've never had a record damaged in the mail.
