SUN 287.  GLAD ALL OVER/ LEND ME YOUR COMB.  10" 78 RPM.    Here's the story:  This 78 originally was in a warehouse in Camden, NJ.  As the 78 era came to a close the remaining stock got shoved further and further back into a dark and distant corner.  As more time passed nobody remembered they were even there.  When the warehouse closed in the early 1970's they were uncovered.  These 78's were sold to the owner of a used record store at the Pennsauken Mart.  They were put out briefly for sale.  However by 1975 when very few had sold, it was apparent that at that time nobody gave a damn about 78's.  It would have been like trying to sell an 8-track tape in 1993.  They were regarded strictly as an obsolete format.  The owner boxed them up and put them in storage where they remained for decades.    This copy is unplayed and comes in the original brown paper sleeve.  There is just some very  light storage wear, HOWEVER a needle has never touched the surface of the record and it retains full gloss.   The labels are clean on both sides.  The original shipping container boxes shown in the photos are not for sale and are not part of this listing.  The 78 will be sandwiched between rigid cardboard, wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in an oversized box.  I am experienced in shipping 78's (check the feedback) however no matter how well you pack them there is still the risk of breakage.  For domestic buyers insurance is included in the shipping price.  Insurance is not available for international orders and all risk is assumed by the buyer.  If that risk is too much for you (I completely understand if you feel that way, I would too) please do not bid. 

I do not end auctions early and will not respond to requests to do so. Due to a persistent problem with late payments, full payment must be received within 72 hours unless other arrangements are made. Be aware that the US Postal Service DRAMATICALLY increased rates, particularly for International packages, in January 2013. Please review shipping costs before bidding.

GRADING

Near Mint - No visible flaws, full gloss appearance.

VG++ - Not quite NM but a nice desirable copy, extremely minor wear.

VG+ - Shows signs of wear but has no major flaws.

VG - Obvious signs of wear, but still has life in it. VG does not mean beat.

VG minus - Moderate to heavy wear, OK if you need a filler copy.

G - Borders on unplayable. Don't be bothered.
