Description

This is an original Carl Perkins 78 rpm record of Blue Suede Shoes/Honey Don't.  #234. U176 and U 177.  I am not a collector of records but I know that Sun records are collectable. I bought a few boxes of 78 rpm records and 45 rpm records at an auction sale about a month ago and buried in the box  were a bunch of old Sun records, 78 rpm and 45 rpm, of Elvis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash as well as old records by Little Richard, Fats Domino, Pat Boone and many others. So now I am putting some of these up for auction. I will try to to describe any flaws honestly as I can so you can better decide if you want to bid or not.  The Blue Suede Shoes side looks to be in about perfect condition as far as the playing surface goes. There are doesn't appear to be any scratches.  The label is intact with good color and no scuffs or tears. The Honey Don't side has a couple of barely visible scuffs but no scratches and looks to be in excellent condition. The label on Honey Don't is in about mint condition. The only flaw on both of these  recordings is one spot on the very outer edge of the record where there is a roughness of about 2 mm and another area of about 3-5 mm adjacent to it where the outer layer of the dead wax area has flaw in it. Both these flaws are on the outer edge of the record and and can't  be seen on the Honey Don't but can be seen if you look very closely on the Blue Suede Shoes side but you have to look very closely and also they can be felt if you rub your finger along the edge. I was excited when I discovered these records and I think they are a good buy. I hope that I described them well enough for you. Insurance will be provided in the shipping fee.
