Description

Carl Weinrich on 78 rpm Musicraft Album 40 Organ Music by Dietrich Buxtehude

            Four discs in E+ condition, cover V+; This rare set includes the Toccata in F, Prelude and Fugue in E minor, Chorale Preludes (Ich ruf’ zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ, Lobt Gott, Ihr Christen, allzugleich), Magnificat primi toni, Choral Fantasy on Wir schoen leuchtet der Morgenstern. Carl Weinreich on the Praetorius Organ at Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ. Recorded on June 18, 1943.  Matrix and recording date etched on each disc in the outer smooth edge before the grooves. Something I’ve never seen before.
