Near mint RCA Victor Soria Series 3 LP Stereo box set of Bizet’s "Carmen" (RCA LDS 6164, Indiana pressing plant, all stampers are 2s).
This set is one of just a few operas on the prestigious TAS (The Absolute Sound) list of top audiophile recordings.
Featured performers are: Leontyne Price, Franco Corelli, Robert Merrill, Mirella Freni with Herbert Von Karajan conducting the Vienna Philharmonic, The Vienna State Opera Chorus and the Vienna Boys Choir.
Included is an excellent 66 page illustrated libretto-booklet, printed in Italy especially for the Soria series of recordings, with background details about the opera, performers and the composer. Also included is an insert with details about the Soria series of recordings.
The glossy LPs look and play very close to mint. The textured box and booklet are also near mint.
