Glossy and great playing E+ condition Victor Orthophonic 78rpm, Featuring Jazz Legend Hoagy Carmichael and his Orchestra with an array of Jazz greats including Bix Beiderbecke, Bubber Miley, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Bud Freeman, Joe Venuti, Irving Brodsky, Eddie Lang, Harry Goodman, Gene Krupa, with vocals by Hoagy Carmichael, Carson Robison and Joe Venuti on the Barnacle Bill Side and by Hoagy Carmichael & Irving Brodsky on the Rockin' Chair Side. This is the legendary recording in which Joe Venuti Let's loose with his "Barnacle Bill The "shithead"vocal in the 2nd chorus either to express his attitude toward the record producer or typical of his wacky sense of humor. .Please review my grading details below. I inspect each record visually and by test playing.  Payment is by paypal, and shipping will be by USPS priority Mailing.  All of my packaging of these fragile 78's is done safely by sandwiching the records between sturdy Cardboard and surrounding it with bubble wrap before placing it in a Cardboard box surrounded by packing peanuts, and the Box is Stamped FRAGILE.  I have set a very reasonable opening minimum and No Reserve and will let it go from there. My grading system is simple 

M - I was transported back in time to a record store and purchased new stock and returned to 2017.  

M-  It looks like new old stock but I can't prove it. 

E+ It looks and plays really fantastic, visual grading under light may have detected very minimal light surface scuffs and maybe some tiny surface scratches

E  It has been obviously been handled and played a number of times, it may have typical minor scuffs and some surface scratches as you would find on most records of this vintage, but still plays really great 

E- , quite a few signs of scuffing and other surface blemishes and scratches but still enjoyable.

G+  A serious collector would turn his nose up at it, but a beginner would jump in, sound quality far from great, starting to fade much more gray and little gloss left, and almost ready for the Old record retirement home.
