RECORD: VG+ (strong)
NOTES: 1974 release recorded at Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Top seam has minor wear with half inch corner split. I have listened to this Southern obscurity several times, but it is hard to describe musically. Here goes my best effort: take early Bang-era Neil Diamond pop rock, then add some odd carnival rural Dr John elements. Discogs calls it lounge, which is not accurate as these are original songs and not schmaltzy. I couldn't find any copies that sold, so price is a bit of a guess.
GRADES: SEALED, NM, EXC, VG+, VG, VG-, G, FAIR, POOR.
I grade strictly under bright light. My highest grade for an unsealed record is NM (NEAR MINT) - a record must look like new to be graded NM! An EXC record will show only slight signs of prior play. A VG+ is a solid used record that should play well but has minor visual flaws. A VG has more obvious flaws BUT is not trashed. Records graded VG- or worse will often play much better than they look.
