  • Artist & Title: Carol Sloane ?– Out Of The Blue
  • Label & Cat #:  LP 1962 Promo Columbia ?– CL 1766 *Original Mono-Red label- six eye; silver overprint "Demonstration Not For Sale"
  • Vinyl Grade: VG+ play graded *glossy vinyl with very few surface blems (faint spindlie on Side 1); majority of recording plays Excellent with a few isolated ticks being the only noise disturbance
  • Cover Grade: EX *very nice jacket with "New Star" sticker on front, red demo stamp on back; corner ding lower lh
  • Notes: Carol Sloane, who made a strong impression with her performance at the 1961 Newport Jazz Festival, shortly after recorded her first album.  After recording a second album for Columbia, Sloane would slip into obscurity until her rediscovery (at first by the Japanese) in the late '70s, but she was a highly appealing singer from the start.
