- ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Columbia 6-eye CBS mono labels with 'DEMONSTRATION RECORD NOT FOR SALE'. An album, in retrospect, more important for the accompanying musicians than Hester herself. Hester delivered a solid, somewhat precious set of traditional material in the early-'60s Greenwich Village folk mode. One of the first LPs of the scene to use a full band, it also featured guitar by future Dylan accompanist Bruce Langhorne, bassist Bill Lee (who also played on many other folk albums of the era by Ian & Sylvia and others), and Bob Dylan himself, who contributed harmonica to a few tracks shortly before he made his own Columbia debut. ~ All Music Guide.
