Featuring a young Bob Dylan on harmonica, this copy is signed on the rear with the legend: "RAY BUSH! love Carolyn Hester". The previous owner knew nothing about how the signature got there, except that it had been like it when he had bought it second hand in the early 70s, so provenance cannot be guaranteed.
The record is in very good condition. It is flat and clean and shiny. There are a number of light marks visible in daylight. A couple of these are feelable but there are no skips jumps loud pops etc. There is a light background crackle in places, particularly in the run ins but it is not overly intrusive. I have not cleaned the lp and it may well benefit from a professional clean.
The labels are in excellent condition. They are orange and are textured. The speed is listed at 33 not 33 1/3, indicating a first pressing. There are no tears, rips, stickers or residue but there are a couple of spindle marks and a little wear to the hole indicating that the lp has been well played.
The cover is in, at best, very good condition. The flips are undamaged and there are no major tears or rips. There is wear to the edges and corners and a few laminate creases. There is a 3cm split along the middle of the bottom edge and a 1cm one on the top edge at the opening. There is also some feathering to the opening and some grubbiness where the laminate has shrunk which is so typical of 60's sleeves.
This is not a copy that would satisfy the most exacting of collectors. However, the fact that it is signed - even without provenance - should tempt at this price. Happy bidding.Low start, no reserve and free UK P&P.
