Carpenters - The Singles 1969-1973, Half Speed Mastered Audiophile series, Canada. SPJ-3601. In 1978 A&M Records, Canada launched the Audiophile Series which produced vinyl LP's mastered at half the normal speed, thereby increasing the fidelity and frequency range in the more dramatic passages of the music itself. The records were pressed on anti-static virgin vinyl (not recycled, as many were) and placed into a thin rice-paper non-reactive sleeve. This LP has been stored for years. Visually still glossy, and near mint. The cover is less than near mint, but has been well stored and cared for, and has been in a mylar sleeve. Shipping on this one is $3 in the USA, with tracking.
