Description

     For sale is the Carpenters' Ticket To Ride, originally released as "Offering" in 1969 by A&M Records and reissued with different artwork and title in 1970 by A&M Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched a "P", followed by the matrix numbers (RE-1)-1/(RE-1)-2, indicating that an early stamper was used to make this reissue at Columbia Records' pressing plant located in Pitman, New Jersey. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve.  This preserves the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is graded as Good plus because it is torn along the top's opening with paper missing, along with a staple hole and wrinkles. The cover is graded as VG because of corner blunts, ring wear, staple holes, stress cracks along the spine and a small bubble in the front cover's paper. The spine has torn corners with paper loss along with color loss from the stress cracks. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent because of a scuff across the fifth track on Side One (A5). I'm play grading it as Near Mint Minus because of a pop on Side One. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of this record in any condition because it has become so scarce. I have more Pop albums, as well as records of all genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
