Description
Columbia SL-161 is a very rare 10-record (mono only) set of recordings from the Bach Prades Festival, directed by Pablo Casals. The slipcase states: "This is number 344 of a second limited edition of one thousand." Each of the 10 LPs has its own cover with notes, and they fit neatly into the green slipcase. Three of the 20 black-label sides are quite playable, but they have flaws that sound. The seventeen remaining sides are in excellent condition and play very well, with the usual surface noise for early Columbia pressings.
The Canfield Guide lists this desirable rarity at $350. Our asking price for this copy is much lower. Buyer pays $8 for well-packed, insured domestic shipping by UPS.
