Description

Artist: Cassidine
Album: Manhandler
Label: 75 Girls (DH 1992)
Cover Condition: NM- (Still in shrink, left corners slightly bent from storage, writing on the shrinkwrap on the back. Otherwise perfect.)
Record Condition: NM- (Very clean copy, the pressing/mastering on all copies of this is pretty shabby though, so it does play with a bit of surface noise)

Rare Random Rap from 1988, coming out of Oakland, CA. One of the first Bay Area rap records with a female MC, Cassidine brings it hardcore and comes with the trunk rattling sounds that early Too Short productions are known for. Produced by Dean Hodges and Kenneth "Hollywood" Houston for 75 Girls Productions, the same label as Too Short put out his first few classic records on. Definately a part of Bay Area Rap history, don't sleep!

Here's a quick bio:''CasiDine'' (-real name) is a rapper from the Bay Area, California. She was the first female emcee in the Bay Area to rise to prominence. Originally a part of Oakland's "The Def Crew" alongside her deejay "Jimmie Jam" and rapping partner Miss Rapp Machine, she forged a reputation as a strong emcee with impressive freestyle and battle skills honed on the streets. She was picked up by 75 Girls Records and Tapes, spearheaded by Dean Hodges, and released an album in 1988 titled "ManHandler", with notable tracks "Pimpin Ain't Easy (But the Girls' Got It Down)", "Yeah Bitch- I'm CasiDine", and the sexy hit "SheDaddy"- the first shockingly erotic rap on record. CasiDine, along with labelmate "Kimmie Fresh", were honored in San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts' Bay Area Hip Hop Hall of Fame show, for being the pioneer women emcees in the Bay Area.

Shipping throughout the continental USA is $7 for one record, and $1 per additional record. International shipping is approximately $12 for the first record, with $2 per additional record. If you live somewhere with unusually high shipping costs, please contact me for a quote prior to bidding though.

Payment via Paypal is preferred, personal checks are accepted as well.

All items are original pressings unless otherwise noted. I use a fairly standard grading system as follows:

Mint: Truly unplayed, almost always reserved for records that are in new condition and have clearly not been played more than twice.
NM-: Very clean copy, no scratches, visibly near perfect. Only wear may be due to age or storage.
VG+: Great play copy, noise is only apparent in very quiet sections of a record. Marks are superficial, not able to be felt. This spans a large range, but all VG+ copies are perfectly playable and sound great.
VG: Has some marks, and may play with some noise that may be bothersome to some. Very listenable and playable with no skips when I play it. Only used for records whose rarity warrants it.

If you have any questions please contact me and I'll get back to you within 24 hours. I can provide audio clips if needed as well.
