Description
Offered here is the very rare, out of print collector's edition of the 'Harold and Maude' soundtrack, as performed by Cat Stevens. This was released on the Vinyl Films label as VFR-2007-3 in 2007.
This release is a very comprehensive collector's package, as you can from the included photographs. The package includes the following:
1) Gatefold album jacket, printed on heavy stock with numerous photographs from the production, as well as Cat Stevens photos; etc.
2) Slip-over ad sheet summarizing what's included in the package, as well as a brief listing of then current Vinyl Films releases;
3) 12" vinyl soundtrack pressed on swirled or marbled purple/white vinyl, with gold/brown label: Side 1: Don't Be Shy; On The Road To Find Out; I Wish, I Wish; Miles From Nowhere; Tea For The Tillerman; and I Think I See The Light; Side 2: Where Do The Children Play?; If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out; If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out (banjo instrumental); Trouble; Don't Be Shy (Alternate Version); If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out (alternate version).
4) Brown paper slip cover, stamped with 'HAROLD & MAUDE, Publicity Kit, 25 Stills. This contains:
4a) 36 page booklet of scenes from the film and reminiscences by various people involved with the production;
4b) Harold and Maude promotional poster (~ 31" x 22") for Asia;
4c) Poster drawing of Cat Stevens (~31" x 22") with signature of artist;
5) 45 RPM single pressed on pink vinyl with: Don't Be Shy (demo version); and If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out (alt. version);
6) Copy of handwritten notes (~ 5" x 6 1/2") of the lyrics for 'If You Want To Sing Out' on one side, and 'Don't Be Shy' on the other.
This entire package is BRAND NEW, and unplayed, and was only opened to verify and photograph the contents.
