Description

An original 1st press of Tillerman on the UK Island Solid Pink label. Matrix 3U/3U. 1-GH/1-GT. Etching 'LH Sterling'. Please note Island switched from the solid pink label almost immediately after the initial pressing run. So, this is actually one of those unusual times when you can actually genuinely call an LP rare! [I know some folk like to use many exclamation marks - but one will do for me!!!haha!!!] The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an early 1st issue cover with a distinctive textured interior.
Vinyl (Ex) In excellent condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Please bear in mind that due to the largely acoustic nature of this release anything other than a well preserved copy is going to impede on your listening experience. Thankfully, this early pressing is preserved to a high level and delivers excellent transparency. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we detected were a few isolated crackles in a couple of tracks. And let me be clear it is minor and nothing remotely invasive. A beautiful copy of what now is a really difficult release to get your hands on.
Cover (Ex) Lovely shiny front without signs of ageing or heavy use. A couple of creases e.g. one down in the bottom right corner - that's all I can spot. The interior is great condition too with one blemish in the bottom right corner. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
