Cat Stevens - Tea for the Tillerman Vinyl album Stereo
Island Records  ILPS-9135 1st Press UK Release with 'STERLING' matrix
This is absolutely the initial UK version on Pink Island labels (with Large white letter i).
Released in a gatefold sleeve with textured inside. Lyrics on laminated rear.

  • Matrix / Runout (Side B engraved, u STERLING stamped, variant 1): ILPS 9135 B - 3 u STERLING LH
'LH' in matrix refers to Leo Hulka a Canadian Mastering Engineer working at Sterling Sound (USA). Sterling is said to have been responsible for the mastering of some 28,000 recordings since the 60s. Cover exterior has minute corner wear, high gloss exterior and spotless and vibrant gatefold, EX. White inner sleeve in good condition, no ink or markings anywhere. The record is used with some superficial scratches and marks but looks to be in EX condition.
This record is being sold from a private collection with same owner from new.
