Release Notes

All 1970 "first release" variants do not use the oversize background A&M logo found on Reissues. Labels of all first releases use gold background with rectangular A&M logo on left side of spindle. Distinguishing characteristics from other Canadian first release variants as SP-4280: Back cover says "Shorepak Can. Pat. No. 758888, 1967" along bottom - This may be unique to this variant of the release "Manufactured and Distributed in Canada by A&M Records, Canada, Ltd." - The location or absence of this credit distinguishes similar variants from one another. For THIS release it is stated in last two lines of block text lower right corner of back cover, AND and on lower periphery of LP labels. Many labels also have a second "ridge" half an inch from the edge of the label; this one has only a small inner ridge. THIS release does not include "Manufactured in Canada" above the right side data beginning "Stereo," as found on some similar releases.
