Description
MFSL 1-035 – Cat Stevens – “Tea for the Tillerman” (1970) – This half-speed mastered, audiophile recording was pressed in Japan with the meticulous care that made Mobile Fidelity famous. The sound is spectacular with a “you are there” presence, and extremely deep and tight bass. The vinyl on this copy is very close to mint – I purchased it in the early 80’s and have only played it a few times since then. The vinyl surfaces are clean, glossy, and exceptionally quiet with only 1 light tic on side 1 – otherwise, it is perfectly quiet. There are no marks of any kind, and the vinyl looks and plays NM. The labels look new. The jacket shows very minor shelf wear. There are no seam splits, however there is a tiny nick on the top seam (see photo) - I will grade the jacket EX. In summary, this is a NM copy of this famous audiophile recording. Feel free to return for a full refund if not completely satisfied.
