Description
I have a Pink Island First Press Copy of:
Cat Stevens-Tea for the Tillerman
Pink Island ILPS 9135
A-3u & B-3u matrix's (none Lower than this)
Please note
I grade the record, cover and labels seperately, I do not grade as a complete package
here I have a Excellent condition copy of Tea for the tillerman on the origonal first press pink Island label I have selected four tacks at random especially the quietest tracks so you can really hear what great sound and quality you will be getting if you bid on my copy
The record Both side are graded as VG+ condition
when viewed in bright light lots of fine surface marks can be seen, but under normal viewing the record still retains quite a degree of shine on both sides some light surface marks can still be seen, but no feelable scratches, on track three side two there are two small marks that creats clicks for a couple of revolutions
(I have recorded them so you can see how heavy they are) there is light crackling in some of the quieter passages but really the record plays through realy well a pleasure to listen to. most of the record plays through between VG + and EX condition.
The labels are spotless and clean EX condition
The origonal first press cover is in extremelly good condition there is minimul edge wear and a couple of marks on the spine and a very small tear on the back cover which are clearly viewable in the photos I would grade as EX condition.

Please note I will use + and – to denote grades in-between the ones mentioned below.
"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
