Description
Folk/singer-songwriter LP by Catherine Howe. This is the very rare original 1971 UK pressing on the Reflection label. matrix numbers : (a-side) RX 11A - 2 *T. (b-side) RX 11B - 1 *T.
Its always difficult to describe the condition of a record but I will have a go! Using the "record collector" grading system I would grade this record and the cover as "good" condition. The record has some surface marks on both sides. I would describe these marks as "scuff " type rather than scratches. Side one plays through ok just the odd "click" here and there. There is a click during the run - in groove at the beginning of side two which can be heard during the first few seconds of the first song on that side ( "it comes with the breeze" ) and later on in the same song I heard a skip although I cannot see what is causing this. The rest of side two plays ok. The cover is in good condition with some creasing and general wear (see photos).
I like this album. It reminds me of Sandy Denny (North star grassman) and Carole King (Tapestry) with unusual songs beautifully sung. Very English sound. Anyone interested in female folk/singer-songwriters of the early 1970s should give this a listen.
