Description

Compassion is a live album by bassist Cecil McBee's Sextet recorded at Sweet Basil in 1977 and released on the Enja label. The album Music from the Source comes from the same live set. Chico Freeman is unbelievable here.
The vinyl is in very good VG shape. See pictures for a moderate lip at the edge of the vinyl that does effect the first minute of play on both sides, but after that the record is in excellent shape and plays beautifully; a huge soundstage on this album. On side 1 there is a scuff on the lip that creates a quiet brushing noise for the first 60 seconds. On side 2 the lip points up and does not play through - bumps my stylus 30 seconds in, after which the record plays beautifully. The sleeve is in nice VG+ shape, edge wear and a few creases but no splits and pretty clean. Inner vinyl sleeve.
