CEDAR LAKE ACADEMY

Cedar Lake Academy is located in a lovely rural setting in central Michigan on 250 acres of land. The academy has a long and rich tradition inasmuch as it has the distinction of being the oldest, continuously-operated boarding academy in the Seventh-day Adventist denomination. It was founded in 1898 and is presently accredited with the University of Michigan Bureau of School Services as well as with the Association of Seventh-day Adventist Secondary Schools and Colleges.

The educational objective and purpose of Cedar Lake Academy is to conduct training in the secondary field as to prepare its young people to assume intelligent and conscientious leadership responsibilities on a higher field of training, and to do their honest part in contributing toward the betterment of their social order and upbuilding of God's kingdom in the earth. The academy is proud of its graduates who have served with distinction in the world and upon whose broad shoulders will be placed the responsibilities of world training. It has made due emphasis and a proper balance in the development of the physical, mental, social and spiritual powers of the students, thus aiming to develop a character which will constitute a positive factor for all that is good in the great social fabric of life.
