Cello Favourites Antonio Janigro US Vanguard
On “An Album of Cello Favourites”, the great cellist Antonio Janigro with Antonio Beltrami plays shorter pieces by De Falla (“Ritual Fire Dance”), Dvorak (“Songs my Mother taught Me”), Popper (2 works), Faure, Rubinstein and others – 16 works in all. A U.S. stereo pressing on the Vanguard Label (VCS-10018), the record is of excellent appearance and plays and sounds superb with some low level surface noise. The cover has some water damage and stains near the right-hand edge.
