Description
Century 21 Records, The Daleks. Relisting this as the last buyer sent it back for a refund because apparently it has a scratch/damage (I don't have a record player). This is what he told me:
"Hi, It s bad news I m afraid! When I examined this record visually, I was concerned by some of the marks and scratches on it. I had a feeling it wouldn't play properly...... and I was correct! Side 1 plays OK, but with a lot of pops and clicks (to be expected on a used 50 year old record). I was just waiting for the record to stick, and unfortunately, about one-third of the way into side 2, the record did stick. There is a small gouge which runs across the grooves almost parallel. This causes a loud click and the record sticks and repeats over and over. I have a high quality Technics turntable, and it will NOT play over the damage. I m absolutely gutted! Incidentally, this Aussie pressing does NOT feature the Dr.Who theme music (contrary to the record cover). If you re-sell, you will need to disclose the fault. I've examined the damage with a microscope and it slices through several grooves. If the gouge ran across the tracks at right angles, instead of almost parallel, then it might not stick. I bid high on this record as I've not seen an Australian pressing before. Really disappointed, but I'm not blaming you!"
The card sleeve has general wear. From checking on eBay, I think this version is far more rare than the UK version - and so it ought to be of value to someone despite the scratch/damage - but what do I know?!
